According to CBS7, a suspect who escaped custody while being treated at Medical Center Hospital has now been captured, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Victor Antonio Coca.
CBS7 reported that Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis said a man arrested in a pursuit was taken to Medical Center Hospital for treatment. During the treatment, his handcuffs were taken off, and he managed to escape.
Director of Communications Mike Adkins said the administration complex and Austin Elementary went into lockout for about 45 minutes as a precaution.
