A 23-year-old man died after he reportedly fell out the passenger door of a moving vehicle.
The reported incident happened at 1:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Eighth Street and Macarthur Avenue, an Odessa Police Department press release detailed.
Cesar Alacon, 23, was driving a white GMC Sierra in the 2300 block of West Eighth Street, the release stated. The passenger was later identified as 23-year-old Abraham Montoya.
Montoya reportedly opened the passenger door and fell out of the vehicle. The release stated he sustained a head injury and was transported to Medical Center Hospital. Montoya was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Next of kin were notified and there were no other reports of injuries. No foul play is suspected at this time and the investigation continues, the release stated.
