Ector County residents have a second opportunity to invest in their local school district.
On June 5, ECISD will sell the second round of its school bonds approved by voters in November 2023. As with the first sale on May 14 local citizens have the chance to purchase these bonds before they go to the public. If interested, call one of the underwriters listed in the advertisement included with this release.
Again, those interested must call one of the underwriters, FHN Financial Capital Markets (800) 934-8025 or Baird, 813-274-7605, and do so prior to June 5.
Bonds will be sold in increments of $5,000.
Interest was high for the initial round of bond sales. That sale was for $179 million and there were $338 worth of requests. Locally, residents purchased $40,000 worth of the bonds and one local bank purchased $3 million. The second sale will be for a total of $98,375,000.
