Sen. Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo, recently announced he has been endorsed by the County Officials Political Action Committee.
Seliger represents 37 counties in the Panhandle, South Plains and Permian Basin which encompasses the cities of Midland, Odessa and Amarillo.
“I have always supported the principled local decision making and local control COPAC stands for,” Seliger said in the release. “Our counties and communities should have reasonable freedom to make decisions without the interference of obtrusive state agencies or officials, most of whom aren’t familiar with rural Texas. I’m proud to have their endorsement.”
Seliger has also been endorsed by Texas Alliance for Life and has earned a 100 percent Pro-Life Rating from Texas Right to Life. He is ‘A’ Rated by the NRA and was named a “Fighter for Free Enterprise” four times by the Texas Association of Business.
Seliger also received the Texas Conservative Coalition’s Conservative Champion Award, Texas Wildlife Association’s Conservation Hero Award and the Conservative Roundtable of Texas’ Effective Conservative Lawmaker award.
