Fans should arrive early to rivalry game

The Permian High School side of the stadium is sold out for Friday night’s crosstown rivalry football game. There are seats remaining on the Odessa High School side.

There are three things the district wants people to know: Arrive early. Arrive early. Arrive early.

The construction on Loop 338 has both directions down to one lane of traffic from Highway 191 to Yukon Road. Fans need to give themselves plenty of time to get into the parking lot and the stadium. The stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the game starts at 7 p.m.

Notable mentions BEFORE the game: the Northeast Gate will NOT be used for entry. If you are coming into the stadium from the East, you will not be able to go West on Charles Walker.

Notable mentions AFTER the game: For parent pick up, parents MUST travel North on Tobosa from Yukon then down Charles Walker to the Northwest Gate. Once in the parking lot they can drive to either side of the stadium. The inside lane of Yukon between Dawn and the Main gate will be closed.

OPD would like to remind you to not follow too closely and to minimize distractions such as electronic devices. Permian will be seated on the WEST and OHS will be seated on the EAST.
