State senatorial candidate Kevin Sparks of Midland has been endorsed by the Texans for Lawsuit Reform’s political action committee, whose president said Tuesday that Sparks “is a successful entrepreneur who has invested in his community by creating good jobs, volunteering his time and now by stepping up to run for the Texas Senate.”
TLRPAC President Richard Trabulsi said from Austin that Sparks “understands that principled public policy, including a fair and efficient legal system, is the foundation of our state’s strong economy and the key to creating opportunities for Texas families.
“Kevin’s extensive experience running oil and gas businesses will benefit the Texas Legislature as our state battles the Biden Administration’s attempts to destroy our domestic fossil fuels industry,” Trabulsi said.
With Sen. Kel Seliger of Amarillo retiring from the 31st Senatorial District, Sparks is running for the Republican nomination in the March 1 primary against Amarilloans Jesse Quackenbush and Tim Reid and Stormy Bradley of Big Spring. There is as yet no Democrat in the race.
