The Ector County ISD Bond Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss a possible bond issue in the commons area of Buice Elementary School, 1800 E. 87th St.
A bond committee and its composition were approved by the Ector County ISD Board of Trustees during their June 15 meeting.
Deputy Superintendent Stephanie Howard said then that the first meeting would be called in July and the committee will bring recommendations back to the school board in December for a possible May 2022 bond election.
The board would have until February to call an election.
Howard said in June that they were looking at about 130 committee members, some of whom will be returning facilities review committee members.
A possible quorum of the board will be present.
Before the pandemic hit, the district had facilities committee meetings, but they paused.
