Since mid-July, a committee of nearly 100 people has been working through a comprehensive needs review of all ECISD facilities, and is forming a bond package recommendation for the school board to consider later this year.
Now, the committee and school district leaders would like to invite more members of the public to be part of the process through two community-wide meetings next week.
The first is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Odessa High School Performing Arts Center at 1301 N. Dotsy Ave. The second is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 16 in the Permian High School Library, 1800 E. 42nd St.
During these meetings, citizens will see the reports being presented to the Bond Committee, and will be asked to give their opinions on ECISD’s needs as it heads into its second century of educating Odessa’s future, a news release said.
