Some new faces have filed for the Ector County ISD Board of Trustees and familiar ones for the Odessa College Board of Trustees.
The filing period ended Friday and the election is May 6. Early voting is April 24 through May 2.
For Position 7, incumbent Dennis Jones will face challengers Robert Michael Thayer and John Dietz Rabenaldt.
Donna Smith, the incumbent for Position 3, will square off against Wayne Woodall.
Tammy Hawkins, Position 6, and newcomer Dawn Miller has filed for Position 1. Longtime board member Carol Gregg, now serving as vice president, did not file.
Incumbents on the Odessa College board have all filed for their spots. They include Dr. Tara Deaver, vice chair, Place 8; Bruce Shearer, Place 1; and Hortencia Del Bosque, Place 2.
