Ector County ISD officially opens Red Ribbon Week on Monday with the annual kickoff celebration at the Administration Building, 802 N. Sam Houston Ave.
Student performances, a City proclamation, and messages reinforcing the “Just Say No” theme are all part of the program that begins at 10 a.m.
Then on Tuesday morning, district leaders will unveil new greenhouses that will serve as the centerpiece of the horticulture program. The new greenhouses are now located on the ECISD Ag Farm, 7651 W. Dunn St. There is a great deal of overlap between the learning outcomes for animal science and those of horticulture, so now that the greenhouses are located at the farm, all Agriculture students have access. The dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting will start at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
