Ector County jail goes on facility-wide quarantine

On Friday afternoon, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office detailed on its Facebook page that due to a recent increase with positive cases for COVID-19 the Ector County Law Enforcement Center will undergo a facility-wide quarantine.

Recreation activity will be limited to inside the dayroom of inmate housing area, the press release stated.

ECSO also detailed that in-person visitation will temporarily cease until further notice. This decision stems from a collaborative effort with the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, Jail Medical, Health Department and the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
