The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a West Odessan in a fire early Wednesday morning.
According to the ECSO, firefighters learned of a fire in the 2500 block of Conger Road shortly before 3 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a fully engulfed recreational vehicle/camper, said Odessa Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Quentin Dobmeier. After the fire was extinguished, a body was found inside.
The victim has not been positively identified and their remains have been released to the medical examiner’s office, according to the ECSO.
