According to the sheriff, deputies arrested 31-year-old Otoniel Nieto Garcia, 31-year-old Kyle Vaughn and 27-year-old Marcus Orosco. All three men were being held by the U.S. Marshals as of Friday morning.

Griffis said deputies also seized 24 pounds of methamphetamine, half a kilogram of cocaine, five pounds of marijuana, five handguns, two rifles and $8,000 in cash.

”We kind of knew when it finally came to a head that we would get a pretty good amount,” Griffis said. “There have been bigger seizes here, but this is a pretty good deal.”

Griffis said the seized drugs will be tested to see if they are laced with any other narcotics.

The Ector County Sheriff said he’s pleased with taking those narcotics off the street.

”Methamphetamine is very popular in a lot of our property crimes,” Griffis said. “We feel good and we may have put a dent in that and very possibly saved a life by taking these drugs off the street.”
