The Texas Art Education Association has announced the 59 winners of the 2022 District of Distinction Award, and Ector County ISD was among the list of honorees.
The district received this honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social emotional learning that connect learners to our community and beyond. Only the top 5% of districts in the state earned this honor this year. This is the second year ECISD has been recognized.
Mark of Excellence
The Nimitz Symphonic Band was selected as Class AA Commended Winner in the Mark of Excellence project.
