ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: October 18, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Adan Zavala, 51, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charge dismissed Oct. 8. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Bradley Scott Forrester, 29, pleaded guilty Oct. 5 to assault public servant and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush presided. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

Gustavo Galvez Landa, 30, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to assault family/house member impede breath/circulation (FV) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Gary Garrison was the attorney.

Justin Tanner Alvarado, 29, had an assault of a pregnant individual FV charge dismissed Oct. 11. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Nicolause Maldonado, 21, pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Violet Latawn White was the attorney.

Tina Louise Pigg, 51, pleaded guilty Oct. 1 on two counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

DWI

Blakeley Keesee, 34, pleaded guilty Oct. 11 to driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3) and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

George T. Sumblin, 40, pleaded guilty Oct. 5 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to 10 years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. J. Roxane Blount was the attorney.

Martin Salvador Hernandez, 47, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to driving while intoxicated third or more and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Jesus Galindo Muniz, 39, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to evading arrest prior conviction and was sentenced to 10 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Matt L. Thomas was the attorney.

Roberto Pacheco Tirado, 25, pleaded guilty Oct. 11 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

FAILING TO STOP AND RENDER AID

Roderick Demond Turner, 26, had a failing to stop and render aid for accident involving death charge dismissed Oct. 8. Judge James Rush presided. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

FORGERY

Jackson R. Cooper, 38, had a forgery financial instrument (SJF) charge dismissed Oct. 6. Judge James Rush presided.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY

Crystal Gail Ford, 39, pleaded guilty Oct. 4 to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, (F1) and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

MURDER

Roderick Demond Turner, 26, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to murder and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Seth Orian Mata, 21, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Steve Hershberger was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Angel Ariel Olivares, 28, had his probation amended Oct. 11 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F3) and was sentenced to four years and three months probation. Judge J.A. “Jim” Bobo approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Casondra Denise Brown, 45, was granted dismissal and discharge Oct. 8 on the charge of possession of controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F3). Judge James Rush presided. J. Roxane Blount was the attorney.
