ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: November 1, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER

Jasmin Adde Hernandez, 34, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to abandon endanger child with intent to return and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

ASSAULT

William Bass, 54, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to assault family/house member impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Cody Bryan Howell, 24, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Daniel Anchondo, 33, pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Silky Eugene Dixon, 39, was acquitted by jury Oct. 20 on the charge of aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Judge James Rush presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

BURGLARY

John Mercedes Morales, 28, had a burglary of habitation charge dismissed Oct. 22. Judge Justin Low presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Thomas David Mata, 36, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to criminal mischief, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000, and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Glen G. Halsell was the attorney.

DWI

Frederico Martinez Garcia, 51, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving while intoxicated third or more and two years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Jesse Jimenez Perez, 45, pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to driving while intoxicated third or more (F3) and was sentenced to 10 years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Randy Valenzuela, 43, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to driving while intoxicated third or more and was sentenced to seven years in probation and 10 years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Jason Schoel was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Jose Luis Melendez, 24, pleaded guilty Oct. 26 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Elijah Garza Bernal, 23, pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Julian Romero, 27, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Jose Ernesto Loya, 41, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Dennis Jones was the attorney.

FORGERY

Samuel Arevalo Marquez, 43, pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to nine months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

HARASSMENT OF PUBLIC SERVANT

Grace Chantal Bustamante, 18, had a harassment of public servant charge dismissed Oct. 21. Judge James Rush presided. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

Erik Barba Dubon, 30, had an injury child/elderly/disable w/intentional bodily injury charge dismissed Oct. 25. Judge John Shrode presided.

Nicole M. Ulate, 35, pleaded guilty Oct. 26 to injury child/elderly/disable with intentional serious body injury/mental and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

MURDER

Jaylene Ann Green, 88, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY CHARGE

Tiffany Marie Torres, 31, had an engage in organized criminal activity charge dismissed Oct. 20. Daniel Sarabia Jr. was the attorney. Judge John Shrode presided.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Nicole Ulate, 35, pleaded guilty Oct. 26 to possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed Oct. 26. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Byron Dale Green, 37, pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.
