ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: February 7, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER CHILD

Irving Holcomb, 35, pleaded guilty Dec. 20, 2021 to abandon endanger child criminal negligence and was sentenced to 24 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal.

ASSAULT

Adalberto Arras, 19, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to an assault family/house member impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Alexis Vasquez, 41, had an assault public servant charge dismissed Jan. 24. Judge James Rush presided.

Gilbert Deltoro, 32, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to assault family/house member impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Hector Manuel Dominguez, 44, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 27 on the charge of assault family/house member impede breath/circulation. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Misael Adrian Duran,19, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to an assault family/house member impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Thomas Bright, 37, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon (FV) and was sentenced to six years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Joshua Floyd was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Jacob Ross Moore, 40, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 6 on the charge of burglary of habitation. Judge John W. Smith presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Johnavon Carrasco, 18, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Rumaldo Rodriguez Chavez, 29, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to criminal mischief, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 and was sentenced to 14 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

DWI

Ariel Marquez Hernandez, 29, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to driving while intoxicated (F3) and was sentenced to four years probation and four years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Gail Lanette Cornelison, 56, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

George T Sumblin, 40, had his probation revoke Jan. 24 on the charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

EVADING ARREST

Catarino Ybarra, 31, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 27 on the charge of evading arrest detention with vehicle. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Eduardo Lozoya, 27, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Elijah Garza Bernal, 23, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Houston Edward Otwell, 30, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charge dismissed Jan. 24. Judge Justin Low presided.

Nacona Cheyenne Christian, 34, pleaded guilty Feb. 2 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Merwyn B. Parker, 52, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Reynaldo Blanco Olivas, 32, pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Sh’caris Roy Lee Searcy, 41, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charged dismissed Jan. 25. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

FORGERY

Alfonso Jesus Hernandez, 34, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Amy Aileen Natera, 32, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to eight months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Jason Schoel was the attorney.

Jonna Marie Froschauer, 44, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to 86 days in county jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

FRAUD

Rene Bartolo Sanchez, 44, had a fraud use/possession identifying info # items, less than five, charge dismissed Jan. 28. Judge James Rush presided.

INDECENCY WITH CHILD SEXUAL CONTACT

Manuel Ruben Beseril, 53, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to indecency with child sexual contact and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Stuart Ulate, 53, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to indecency with child sexual contact and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY

Jeremy Grant Thomas, 23, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F2) and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tommy W. Hull was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Alexis Lynn Fabila, 21, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to six years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Antonio Covarrubias, 42, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Bret Ryan Bushman, 31, pleaded guilty Nov. 18, 2021 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, (SJF) and was sentenced to six months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal.

Brett Glynn Giddens, 54, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 180 days in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Chuck Gareth Decker, 37, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed Jan. 31. Judge John Shrode presided.

Dusten Henry Fuentez, 24, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to six months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Greg Thomas Duvall, 52, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Hector Royce Quintela, 32, had a possession of marijuana, more than four ounces, but less than five pounds, charge dismissed Jan. 26. Judge James Rush presided.

Jose Luis Olivas, 24, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 31 on the charge of possession of marijuana, more than four ounces, but less than five pounds. Judge W. Stacy Trotter presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jose Manuel Martinez, 20, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Kalynn Lanae Tyre, 29, had a possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, charge dismissed Jan. 27. Judge James Rush presided.

Norma Linda Casarez, 57, pleaded guilty Feb. 2 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Luis A. Chavez was the attorney.

Mikeal Crosson, 30, had a possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, charge dismissed Jan. 28. Judge James Rush presided.

Olivia C. Wilson, 23, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed Jan. 31. Judge John Shrode presided.

Oscar Franco, Jr., 55, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 284 days in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Shanda Renee Ford, 56, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 27 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

William Patrick Carpenter, 32, pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Christy Lynn Cauthen was the attorney.

ROBBERY

James Seeley Galloup, 42, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to robbery and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Irving Holcomb, 35, pleaded guilty to Dec. 20, 2021 to counts of sexual assault child and was sentenced to 12 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Daniel James Lindsey, 27, was acquitted by jury Jan. 25 on the charge of tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Eduardo Lozoya, 27, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) charge dismissed Jan. 27. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Isaac Pierre Lecompte, 23, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) charge dismissed Jan. 24. Judge Justin Low presided.

Mya Lanell Patterson, 21, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed Jan. 28. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

THEFT

Marshall Gillen, 35, had a possession of stolen property theft charge dismissed Jan. 31. Judge John Shrode presided.

Ricardo Valenzuela Ramos, 46, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than 30,000, and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Russell J. Duncan, 65, pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to counts of theft property, less than $2,500 two more previous convictions, (SJF) and was sentenced to 118 days in county jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Raul Arthur Morales, 31, had a theft of firearm charge dismissed Jan. 27. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Dusten Henry Fuentez, 24, pleaded guilty Feb. 2 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to six months in state jail. Judge Justin Low presided.

Johnny Cochran, III, 31, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to unauthorized use of a vehicle and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

UNLICENSED POSSESSION FIREARM BY FELON

Raul Arthur Morales, 31, had a unlicensed possession firearm by felon charge dismissed Jan. 27. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.
