Community urged to wear orange for Hunger Action Day

Hunger Action Day is fast approaching and the West Texas Food Bank invites everyone to participate in a powerful show of solidarity against hunger.

The Food Bank is asking everyone to wear orange on Sept. 15 to raise awareness about food insecurity and support the West Texas Food Bank. Whether it’s an orange shirt, hat, or any orange accessory, your choice to wear orange sends a strong message of support to those facing hunger in the community, a news release said.

The Food Bank would also love people to share their orange attire photos on social media to inspire others and create a wave of support. Tag the Food Bank in your posts and use the hashtag #HungerActionDay & #HungerActionMonth, and they will share your photos and stories on its channels, spreading the message even further.
