The Coby Slaughter Memorial Predator Contest has been scheduled for Saturday at the Winkler County Expo Building in Wink.
The event will include a predator contest, a raffle and auction, followed by dinner and a live band featuring Seth Ward & The Silence.
This annual contest is the big event for the “Live Like Leeroy Foundation” which was founded to honor the legacy of Wink High School graduate and firefighter Coby Slaughter after his tragic death in 2016.
Scholarships are awarded to Wink High School seniors, and contributions are made to the Wink Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas LODD.
Prize money and trophy buckles will be awarded to the top three teams.
Hunt registration closes at 8 p.m. today.
