The Museum of the Southwest, 1705 W. Missouri Ave., Midland, will begin its Christmas at the Mansion season this December.
The yearly tradition consists of a series of eight unique holiday events catering to visitors of all ages.
Dec. 2: Christmas at the Mansion will begin with a black-tie-optional Preview Party. Preview Party guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks while browsing seasonal exhibitions and festive displays. Family favorite events like the Nutcracker Brunch and Gingerbread Workshop will return alongside new events, including Trains and Trucks – showcasing classic cars, trucks and the Museum’s fully operational model train depot.
Dec. 8: The museum’s popular ReinBeer event will return for its 10th anniversary celebration. ReinBeer X guests will taste a variety of food and beverages while enjoying a live concert by gold-certified recording artist Pat Green. Green will be the first ever musical guest to have performed on the ReinBeer stage.
Free events such as the Holiday Tea and annual Open House encourage all to come and experience Christmas at the historic Turner Mansion, fully decorated for the holiday and featuring special exhibitions such as Visions of Santa, artist Billy Keen’s series of 48 portraits of Santa Claus.
