Brothers arrested on robbery, evading charges

Two Odessa brothers were arrested Wednesday night after being accused of stealing multiple pairs of jeans from Rodeo Western.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, dispatchers received a 911 call about a robbery at the Andrews Highway store around 8 p.m. and when they arrived, a 20-year-old store clerk said two men walked out of the store with multiple pairs of jeans without paying for them.

The clerk said when he followed the men outside one of them pulled a knife on him, causing him to fear for his life, the report stated.

An officer found two men matching the suspects’ descriptions in a nearby alley and they ran away, jumped fences and climbed onto a high school to get away, the report stated.

Officers took Darrin Loschiavo, 31, and Jeran Loschiavo, 30, into custody and they found a pocket knife in Darrin Loschiavo’s possession, according to the report.

Jeran Loschiavo confessed to stealing the jeans, the report stated.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and Jeran Loschiavo is also facing a felony evading arrest/previous conviction charge. Darrin Loschiavo is facing a misdemeanor evading arrest charge.

Darrin Loschiavo is being held in the Ector County jail on a parole violation charge and surety bonds totaling $52,000. Jeran Loschiavo is being held on surety bonds totaling $54,000.
