UT Permian Basin has officially taken down the temporary display of the Bright Star Memorial in the UTPB Library.
A news release said the staff worked hard to carefully dismantle the landmark. This week they are applying a patina to the bronze which will give it a greenish hue and protect it from weathering. It will be on display in the newly constructed outdoor plaza soon.
