Aggravated assault suspect arrested

A 29-year-old Odessa man was arrested Sunday on a warrant issued following a May disturbance.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 9100 block of West Hubnik on May 15. Upon their arrival, three people said James Robert O’Shields had “displayed a semiautomatic pistolat them” while arguing about property.

O’Shields left before deputies arrived and they weren’t immediately able to locate him, but they arrested him Sunday on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He remained in the Ector County jail Wednesday on a $30,000 surety bond.
