A teenager and the mother of his child, who is a juvenile, were arrested after they were accused of injuring their 2-month-old infant.
Lucas Corral, 17, and the mother of the child were charged with injury to child causing serious bodily injury (family violence), a first-degree felony.
The Ector County Sheriff’s Office press release detailed on Dec. 6 that deputies responded to Medical Center Hospital in regard to a 2-month-old infant with serious bodily injuries.
During the investigation, it was found the parents of the infant child, Corral and mother, juvenile, caused the injuries.
Corral was booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on Dec. 6, jail records show. He has one bond totaling $50,000 and was still in custody as of Thursday afternoon. Ector County Youth Center Director Kevin Mann told the Odessa American on Thursday afternoon the mother of the child was no longer in custody.
