Two men were killed in a two-vehicle crash three miles south of Midland early Wednesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, James William Featherston, 38, of Oglesby was traveling east on County Road 140 in a Dodge Ram 2500 when he failed to yield the right of way at State Highway 349. Jose Alferez Castillo, 55, of Midland, who was traveling south on SH 349 in a Freightliner truck tractor, struck Featherston and both vehicles came to rest in a barrow ditch on the east side of SH 349. The Freightliner burned completely and the front end of the Dodge Ram also burned.
