Two people lost their lives in Midland County crashes Tuesday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Saul Guerra, 24, of Fort Myers, Florida was traveling west on West Highway 80 on a Kawasaki motorcycle when a 29-year-old man from El Paso in a Ford F-150 attempted to turned left into a parking lot in front of him. Guerra’s motorcycle hit the back right of the Ford.
Guerra was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened around 6 a.m.
Roughly 12 hours later, DPS officials said Juvencio Juarez-Marquez, 37, of Farmington, New Mexico was driving a Dodge 3500 east on State Highway 158 on Tuesday evening when he failed to control his speed and collided with the back of a trailer being towed by another Dodge 3500 and carrying a Bobcat skid-steer loader. The trailer ended up in the westbound lanes and a Mack truck and trailer hit it.
Juarez-Marquez was pronounced deceased at Midland Memorial Hospital.
