Grandview Avenue's southbound lanes had to be detoured due to an 18-wheeler hitting and bringing down power lines Wednesday on the south side of the 42nd Street and Grandview Avenue intersection. Odessa Police Department Spokesman Steve LeSueur said the vehicle was an R+L Carriers truck, and the driver was issued a citation for a maximum height violation. No injuries were reported.
