Sherwood Street Alley Closure

The City of Odessa issued a news release Wednesday to inform the public of upcoming road closures.

Sherwood Street Alley Closure

Beginning Thursday, June 13, there will be an alley closure between Pine Ave and Sherwood Street.

This will be for Driver Pipeline, an Atmos Energy contractor, that will be working on gas main lines. Construction is expected to take up to one month to complete. Citizens are asked to follow all traffic control devices, use alternate routes and expect delays while construction is in progress. Murphy Street Lane Closure

Beginning Monday, June 17, there will be a right-hand lane closure for eastbound traffic along W. Murphy Street, between Foster Ave. and Oak Ave. Eastbound traffic will be merged into the existing center lane to maintain two-way traffic along W. Murphy Street.

E. 8th Street and Meadow Ave. Closure

E. 8th Street and Meadow Ave. Closure

Beginning Monday, June 17, there will be a double right lane closure between East 8th Street and Meadow Ave. The closure is due to a contractor installing a private fire line. The project is expected to be completed in two weeks. Citizens are asked to follow all traffic control devices and use alternate routes while repairs are in progress. 19th Street and Fly Ave. Closure

19th Street and Fly Ave. Closure

Beginning Monday, June 19, a waterline replacement project will be underway. The road will be closed between 19th and 20th St. on Fly Ave., as well as the alley between Fly Ave. and County Road West. The contractor will be replacing the water line. Installation is expected to take 4 weeks.
