Jackelyn Bracamontes, an Odessa College graduate, recently won the grand prize in the Texas Photographic Society’s #NewVisions2021: A Student Exhibition, and will receive a Fuji X-E4 Camera Kit with XF27mm F2.8 R WR lens, courtesy of Fujifilm USA. Bracamontes earned her associate in arts degree in photography at OC in 2018 and is currently studying Art at Texas State University. Also included in the exhibition were photographs by three current OC students. Photography majors Deborah Hubert and Jasmin Esparza each had one photograph accepted, and Hanna Bloom had two photos accepted. The exhibition is a national open-themed collegiate student photo competition. Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students of all skill levels were encouraged to submit their work.
