Odessa Police Department’s Pricilla Hughes and Sgt. Yuri Herrera both help with the recruits at the Odessa Police Academy. They recently gave their perspective on helping the next generation of officers.
“My goal is to mold them into well-rounded police officers and remind them that this career is a calling. Once they are sworn, they will become leaders in the community and it will be their responsibility to protect and serve all the people of Odessa,” Herrera said.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to help set the bar of excellence for our next generation of officers. To continue to improve and develop our profession, one officer at a time,” Hughes said.
