Odessa Attorney Gaven Norris recently visited Travis Elementary, ECISD Ambassadors. When students asked, “Why are you a lawyer and what do you like about being a lawyer,” the answer was a resounding, “I like to help people. This is a calling …sometimes I just sit down with people and talk to people.” Further advice to these young leaders from Norris: “My best advice is do it well or not at all. Give it 100%. Don’t be afraid to fail! This is how you learn! Your past doesn’t have to define where you go or what you do.”
