MIDLAND XTO Energy, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, raised $205,000 during its annual Charity Golf Tournament held July 24 at Odessa Country Club, a Monday press release said. This year’s tournament benefited the Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center (PBRC).
“We are excited to partner with XTO in their annual golf tournament. We are grateful for their support and the participation of all the teams. The money raised for the Rehab Center this year will help us continue to provide life changing therapy services to children and adults with disabilities in the Permian Basin,” said Kim Ortega, PBRC Executive Director, in the release.
Each year, XTO Energy employees volunteer their time and energy to raise funds for a nonprofit positively impacting the Permian Basin.
“The Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center is devoted to improving the lives of children and adults by providing exceptional and compassionate therapy services, and we are proud to support their efforts,” Enrique Garcia, XTO Permian Basin Production Manager, said in the release.
PBRC is a non-profit multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility that provides speech, physical, occupational therapy and hearing/audiology services to the people living in the Permian Basin. Since 1953, the PBRC has served thousands of patients of all ages and abilities.
Garcia said that hundreds of XTO Energy employees volunteered to support this year’s tournament. Employees, vendors and service providers participated in the event.
“I am overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone that came together to make a difference in the area we work and call home,” Garcia added. “The entire day felt like a hole in one.”
