In a remarkable display of their commitment to the communities they serve, Complex Community Federal Credit Union (CCFCU) successfully concluded their annual food drive, collecting 15,000 canned food items. The initiative took place across all CCFCU branches in different communities including Lubbock, Odessa, Midland, Andrews, Monahans, and Big Spring, culminating in the delivery of donations to various local food banks including Meals on Wheels of Odessa.
Throughout the month-long campaign, CCFCU branches served as collection points, rallying employees and community members to contribute canned food items to help those facing food insecurity. The impressive outcome of 15,000 donated items underscores the collective generosity and community spirit fostered by CCFCU.
“We are thrilled to see the overwhelming response from our community members and staff,” said Jason Berridge, CEO of CCFCU, in a news release. “This annual food drive is a tradition that allows us to live out our commitment to the communities we serve. We believe in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors, and this year’s contributions will undoubtedly bring comfort and joy to many during the holiday season.”
CCFCU’s unwavering dedication to making a positive impact within their communities is reflected in their core value of Focused Community Commitment. The annual food drive is a testament to the credit union’s belief in giving back and supporting those in need, especially during the holiday season, the release said.
