CORPUS CHRISTI On June 12 at 11 a.m. sharp, the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Army Veteran Specialist Joseph Jerome Wisnow.
Born on Nov. 14, 1947, Specialist Wisnow served from July 1967 to June 1969. Wisnow received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal for his service to our country.
Wisnow is not expected to have any next-of-kin attend his burial. Members of the Corpus Christi community are encouraged to attend.
Wisnow will receive military honors. If no next-of-kin is present at the burial, a Veterans Land Board Representative will accept the United States flag on his behalf.
