The Petroleum Museum will host a mineral show and sale at 4 p.m. Dec. 7 with a lecture at 7 p.m.
Rob Lavinsky will discuss how minerals have been the raw materials of art and civilization for centuries. Lavinsky owns the Arkenstone Gallery of Natural Art with locations in Dallas and Shanghai.
Many of the minerals in the Petroleum Museum’s Mineral Gallery were donated by Lavinsky.
