Lunch and Lecture

The Petroleum Museum will host a Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 10.

Midland was once the pathway to the western expansion of the United States. Now it will be the pathway to humanity’s expansion to space. Kalle Vähä-Jaakkola, captain and Co-founder of Space Nation, will tell the story of how Midland connects the resourcefulness of pioneers, the boldness of wildcatters, and the ingenuity of the oil and gas industry uniquely to space exploration.

Vähä-Jaakkola will share how these skills and attitudes built the modern world and will build our future cities and industries in space in the future.
