Applications now open for 2024 ConocoPhillips Small Biz Builder Program

This fall, LiftFund, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering small businesses, is partnering with ConocoPhillips to launch the 2024 ConocoPhillips Small Biz Builder program. This initiative will provide small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Permian Basin and East New Mexico with essential resources and support to grow their businesses.

The ConocoPhillips Small Biz Builder program is a business accelerator offering a series of virtual and in-person workshops over a 3-week period. The complimentary program covers business topics including Business Model Canvas, effective marketing, and small business budgeting and financials. Participants will also have access to a wealth of business tools, resources, and one-on-one business coaching sessions provided by LiftFund at no cost to the participants.

“In the last two years, the Small Biz Builder program has supported 60 small businesses across west Texas and southeast New Mexico,” ConocoPhillips Stakeholder Relations Manager Harmony Jurkash said in a news release. “Together with our local chambers and partners at LiftFund, we look forward to growing the program – now in its third year – to empower and develop more entrepreneurs and small businesses in the areas where we operate.”

To qualify for the ConocoPhillips Small Biz Builder program, New Mexico applicants must reside in Eddy or Lea County, and Texas applicants must reside in Ward, Ector, Midland, or Winkler County. Applicants must be 18 years or older by the program application open date on July 29, 2024, have a business idea actively being developed, or be a >50% owner of an existing business, and be able to participate in two virtual Zoom training sessions and one in-person event.

“We are thrilled to partner with ConocoPhillips to drive small business growth in the Permian Basin. Through the ConocoPhillips Small Biz Builder program, we provide business owners with the tools and resources needed to strengthen their enterprises.” said Bridget Steele, LiftFund’s VP of Business Resource HUB.
