Miss Rodeo SandHills pageants set

The chase for the crown is a tradition. The 2025 Rodeo SandHills pageants are set, and a 2025 Miss Rodeo SandHills, Miss Rodeo SandHills Teen, and Miss Rodeo SandHills Princess will be crowned in a two-day event on November 1 and 2. The 2024 Miss Rodeo SandHills Aspen Wash, Miss Rodeo SandHills Teen Suzette Trujillo, and Miss Rodeo SandHills Princess Paisley Hopper will be part of the royal action.

Miranda Reed of Dallas and Shannon Weyerts of Lubbock will compete for Miss Rodeo SandHills. Kendall McComb of Alpine will vie for Miss Rodeo SandHills Teen. The candidates for SandHills Princess are Hattie Rasberry of Roby, Texas, Harper Holland of Marfa and Sadie Wood of Alpine.

The two-day event begins Friday, November 1, at 6 p.m. at the Outback Arena facility at the Ector County Coliseum. Candidates will compete in the horsemanship portion of the contest, which is open to the public with free admission.

The speech, interview, and coronation portion will be held on Saturday, November 2, at 1 p.m. at the Odessa Regional Medical Center Auditorium, 520 E. 6th St. Lunch will be served, and a $20 ticket will be sold at the door.

The winners will serve as ambassadors for the SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo. Livestock shows, rodeo action, and shopping opportunities are part of the SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo’s 10-day run January 1 -11, 2025.
