Meta suppressing political content from users

For the past year, U.S. Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, has actively engaged with Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, and probed its decision to actively opt users out from viewing political content.

Social media has become a vital tool for government agencies and Members of Congress to communicate with constituents. Preventing users from viewing political or social content is a grave threat, especially during emergencies or times of need, Pfluger said in his newsletter.
