Community National Bank wins statewide Best of Community Banking Award

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) — the largest state community banking association in the nation — recently honored Community National Bank in Midland with a Best of Community Banking (BOCB) Award. It received the Gold Eagle Award for its “CNB Odessa & Lubbock Headquarters” architectural design entry, a news release said.

Community National Bank of Midland initiated a project to simultaneously build two new headquarters in Odessa and Lubbock, emphasizing growth and innovation. In Odessa, the 8,000-square-foot building features a striking exterior metal-clad monument wall and showcases local artwork and modern design elements throughout the interior. Similarly, the 11,000-square-foot Lubbock headquarters integrates contemporary aesthetics with community-focused spaces, including a versatile community room for non-profits.

Led by COO Brad Bullock, the projects prioritize creativity and collaboration with local architects and builders. Brad’s vision aimed to depart from traditional banking environments, focusing on change and innovation. These headquarters serve as symbols of the bank’s dedication to growth and community engagement. While customer behavior continues to evolve, the construction of these buildings highlights the bank’s commitment to both Odessa and Lubbock. Not only do these buildings showcase the bank’s capabilities, but they provide employees with a source of pride and unity and customers with a sense of stability and community.

Community National Bank, established in 1983, continues to expand upon its original mission to provide a strong, locally owned, independent financial institution. Employees, officers, and directors respect the traditional responsibility of a local bank to foster the development of its customers and thereby the community. The focus on training, technology, and service has helped them grow from the original location in south Midland to eleven locations throughout their market area and has expanded into Lubbock, TX, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
