MIDLAND The UTPB football team came up short in a 30-27 overtime loss to Western Oregon Saturday at Astound Broadband Stadium.
A 3-yard touchdown run by Jordan McCarty for Western Oregon tied the game up with 2:48 left in regulation.
After an interception by Western Oregon in overtime, the Wolves won on a 29-yard field goal by Keaton Emmett.
Western Oregon (5-2 overall, 5-0 in Lone Star Conference) remains in the hunt for a Lone Star Conference title.
UTPB fell to 4-4, 3-3.
