Odessa Links invites everyone to attend National Homeless Day at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Ector County Library.
City Councilman Greg Connell will read the proclamation, followed by guest speakers from the American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and the Salvation Army.
Additionally, there will be a lived experience talk to offer personal insights into the challenges of homelessness. The event will conclude with the kickoff of the Point in Time Homeless Count, introducing the drop-off locations for the collection of items to be distributed during the street count.
