West Texas Food Bank will host a Kid’s Farmer’s Market from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, at the food bank located at 1601 Westcliff Dr. in Midland.
Sponsored by H-E-B, the event is free and open to children of all ages to come learn about fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Kid’s Farmer’s Market provides an engaging platform for children to learn about the journey of food from farm to table, make healthier food choices, and develop lifelong healthy eating habits. Families are encouraged to attend for a morning of fun and education.
While supplies last, you’ll be able to fill your Farmer’s Market bag with fresh produce for free thanks to H-E-B.
Cooking with Kayla will have a fruit and vegetable sampling with nutrition information handouts and recipes to give out.
They will be joined by other community booths.
