Habitual offender sentenced to 30 years in drug case

An Odessa man with multiple felony convictions was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after an Ector County jury convicted him of possession of one to four grams of methamphetamine.

Rene Luna Saenz Jr., 47, was indicted in April 2019 and was tried before Judge Lori Ruiz-Crutcher of the 244th District Court by Assistant District Attorneys Henry Eckels and Kevin Schulz. He was represented by Felix Neboh.
