The UTPB women’s soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw against Texas A&M International Wednesday at Falcon Field to begin Lone Star Conference play.
The Falcons (2-1-2 overall, 0-0-1 in conference, scored first when Cassandra Ramirez found the back of the net in the 26th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
However, four minutes later, Texas A&M International responded with a goal from Loren Perez Barrera and neither team would find the game winner.
UTPB finished with 17 shots total, nine of which were on target, while A&M International had six shots total, three of which were on goal.
UTPB will next face Oklahoma Christian University at 6 p.m. Saturday in Edmond, Okla.
