MIDLAND The east and westbound I-20 frontage roads will have a new connection to Midkiff Road next week a Texas Department of Transportation traffic alert said.
According to the alert, the curved jug handle pavement will be for local access only and frontage road traffic will connect directly to Midkiff at all-way stop intersections north and south of the new overpass. The transition to this new traffic pattern will span 2 working days beginning Tuesday, Sept 17. Pavement striping will finish on Thursday, Sept 19.
Stop signs will be in place until signals can be installed later this year.
