Phillips 66 will present a $115,000 check to three recipients to support multiple swimming and water safety programs at 2 p.m. June 6 at the Odessa YMCA, 3001 E. University Blvd.
Recipients receiving a portion of the total $115,000 amount will be Odessa College, the Odessa Family YMCA and the Midland YMCA.
Phillips 66 continues its long tradition of promoting water safety with the goal of preventing drownings through the funding of several programs with Odessa College, the Odessa Family YMCA and the Midland YMCA.
Odessa College will use its portion of the funds to hire, train and certify lifeguards and swim instructors, provide free group and private swim lessons, and provide free pool rentals and lifeguard hours for community partners including the Odessa Boys and Girls Club and Casa De Amigos.
