WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) on Monday held an unveiling and dedication ceremony for CongressRam Pfluger, a new art installation by renowned local artist Raul Ruiz outside the San Angelo Congressional office. Submissions from the 2024 Congressional Art Competition were also on display for public viewing.

“CongressRAM Pfluger represents the pillars and foundation of the 11th District of Texas—energy, agriculture, and national security. I am excited that our office has joined the Downtown San Angelo Sheeptacular Art Project, which tells the history and legacy of the agricultural industry within West Texas,” Pfluger said in a news release.

The Downtown San Angelo Inc. Sheeptacular Art Project began in 2007 with ten sheep art installations. Today, the project has 165 participating sheep art installations, each uniquely designed and painted by local artists sponsored by local businesses or organizations.
