An Odessa man was arrested early Thursday morning after the mother of his child accused him of knocking out one of her teeth and pushing her out of a moving vehicle.
According to an Odessa Police Department report, officers received a robbery call from the 1900 block of North Lee Street around 1 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman sitting on a curb with black marks up and down her clothes and a scrape on her right hip.
The woman told officers Tavoreon Smith, 36, picked her up from work, asked her how much money she made and informed her everything she made was his, the report stated.
She said Smith punched her in the face, knocking a tooth out. He then pushed her out of the moving vehicle before stopping, getting out and grabbing her purse, which contained $230 of her rent money, the woman told police.
Smith was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He remained in the Ector County jail Monday night on a $25,000 surety bond and a parole violation charge.
