A lawsuit has been filed against the First Baptist Child Development Center and Preschool.
According to the lawsuit filed in Ector County District Court Wednesday, Jennifer Hartman’s daughter, Eleanor, was injured while in the care of the preschool on June 1, 2022.
No details of the injuries were provided.
Hartman, who now lives in Broward County, Florida, is seeking unspecified damages for her daughter’s “injuries and mental anguish in the past and future.” Attorney Russell Button of Dallas also hopes to recoup incurred medical expenses for Hartman and damages for Hartman’s own mental anguish.
David Macdonald, a Dallas attorney representing the preschool, filed a general denial of the allegations Thursday.
The case has been assigned to Judge Justin Low of the 161st District Court.
